NXT Fit Jakarta
Four bespoke Cubes inside Indonesia’s first rooftop sports and wellness centre. Built by Summarecon. Finished by icebaths.comm.
The Context
In February 2026, Summarecon opened the second phase of Summarecon Mall Bekasi, one of the most ambitious mixed-use developments in Greater Jakarta. On the rooftop sits WELLGROUND: a 17,587 square metre sports and wellness centre billed as Indonesia’s first of its kind. The facility includes NXT Fit Gym, JUVIA Wellness and Spa, padel and tennis courts, basketball, badminton, pickleball, an Olympic-size infinity pool, jogging track, and a full complement of recovery amenities.
Summarecon is is one of Indonesia’s leading property developers and the winner of 17 PropertyGuru Awards in 2025 alone, including Best Township Development in Asia.

The Brief
NXT Fit wanted dedicated recovery zones in both the male and female changing rooms. The brief was specific: maximum visual impact, no exposed chillers, no plastic, and a completely luxurious finish that would set the gym apart from anything else in the Jakarta market.
They also wanted something no other gym in the region had. Branded ice baths. Their logo, machined into the teak, integrated as a permanent design element rather than a sticker or afterthought.
They sent us the changing room architectural plans. We worked from those drawings to design a fully custom layout that would fit the space precisely, conceal all technical elements, and deliver a recovery experience that matched the ambition of the wider facility.

The Solution
We designed and installed four Cubes across the two changing rooms. Two in the male zone, two in the female zone. Each pair sits side by side on a bespoke teak step platform that spans the full width of both Cubes.
Beneath each platform, two 1HP chilling and filtration systems are fully concealed. No visible chillers. No exposed hoses. The platforms were designed, built, and finished by our Bali woodworking team, then shipped to Jakarta and installed on-site by our crew.
On the front face of each Cube, we machined a recessed panel using our CNC equipment and embedded an acrylic NXT Fit logo. This is not a decal. It is cut into the wood. A permanent branded element that makes each Cube unmistakably theirs.
The entire project, from concept development through production, shipping, and on-site installation in Jakarta, was handled by icebaths.comm.

How Members Use It
The ice baths are available to all NXT Fit gym members as part of their membership. There is no additional charge. Members finish a session in the gym, walk into the changing room, and step into the Cube. Cold water immersion is built into the daily rhythm of the facility, not cordoned off as a premium extra.
With four Cubes serving a gym designed for high-volume commercial use, the installation is built for scale. NXT Fit expects combined usage of over 100 plunges per day once the gym reaches full membership capacity.
“I was so impressed by the luxury feel of the ice baths. I think this is the only gym of its kind in Bekasi.”
