Rekoop Flex, Singapore
Two teak Barrels in one of Singapore’s most talked-about wellness spaces. Featured in Vogue, Her World, and The Urban List.
The Space
Rekoop is a private wellness club founded in Singapore with a focus on science-backed recovery for high-performers. In 2025, the brand launched Rekoop Flex at 108 Joo Chiat Road: a walk-in, pay-per-session concept designed to bring the same calibre of treatment to a wider audience. No membership required. No booking weeks in advance. Walk in, recover, walk out.
The Joo Chiat space offers cryotherapy, infrared saunas, red light therapy, compression, float tanks, and cold immersion. The ice baths are central to the offering, anchoring the Sweat and Freeze contrast therapy sessions that pair infrared heat with cold plunge in private suites.
When Rekoop’s team was sourcing ice baths for the space, the brief was clear. The tubs had to handle daily commercial use at 4–10°C. They had to look as considered as the rest of the interior. And they had to fit within curved, compact private suites without dominating the room.

The Solution
We supplied two standard Barrels with 1HP chilling and filtration systems. The round teak form of the Barrel integrated naturally with Rekoop’s curved interior layout, and the compact footprint fitted within the private suites without crowding the space.
Rekoop’s in-house team designed and built custom surrounding decking and steps that fully conceal the chillers underneath. The result is clean and seamless: guests see teak, warm lighting, and still water. The technology is out of sight.
The Barrels were shipped from our Jakarta warehouse directly to 108 Joo Chiat Road. Delivery and installation were completed by Rekoop’s internal team in September 2025.

How Clients Use It
The Barrels are the cold half of Rekoop Flex’s Sweat and Freeze sessions. Clients cycle between the infrared sauna and the ice bath in a private suite, typically spending 15 to 30 minutes in the sauna followed by 2 to 5 minutes in the Barrel, repeating for two or three rounds. Sessions are available to both Rekoop members and walk-in guests on a pay-per-session basis.
Each Barrel currently averages 5 to 6 plunges per day, totalling 10 to 12 daily cold immersion sessions across the two. Clients use the ice baths as part of quick 15 to 30 minute recovery breaks between work commitments. This is Joo Chiat, not a resort. The people walking through the door are executives, founders, and professionals who treat recovery as seriously as the work itself.
“The recommended time and frequency for contrast therapy can vary based on personal health conditions and individual tolerances. A common approach is around 2 to 5 minutes in the ice bath, and 15 to 30 minutes in the infrared sauna, repeating the cycle for two to three rounds.”

The installation has drawn significant press attention. Vogue Singapore featured Rekoop in their roundup of Singapore’s best cold plunge destinations. Her World reviewed the club’s recovery offering in detail. The Urban List named Rekoop Flex one of Singapore’s best wellness spaces. And the 108 Joo Chiat location carries strong guest reviews across Google, with multiple visitors specifically praising the ice bath and Sweat and Freeze experience.
